Inheritance Series #5-In my opinion, the darkest yet.

The dynamic duo of Quentin and Laurence are torn apart in this story. Laurence is kidnapped in an attempt to get Quentin back home. The Duke has had enough and will waste no more time.

Laurence is continually put through hell; tortured in an attempt to be broken.

Quentin’s mind wall begins to break and memories begin to seep through. Finally Quentin accepts who he was meant to be, but with stipulations.

The Duke is not impressed.

A family feud is the least of anyones worries throughout this story as lives and love is on the line.

Reeve of Veils by Amelia Faulkner (Inheritance Series #4)

Reeve of Veils by Amelia Faulkner (Inheritance Series #4)

Reeve of Veils covers many points in Knight of Flames but from Freddy’s POV. Well, Freddy and a mystery guest.

Many events that didn’t quite add up in Knight of Flames are explained to us in this block of the story.

We get to really meet Freddy; Quentin’s twin brother. What powers he might possess, how he wields them, and why he picks up a new friend.

We also get more insight into Quentin and Freddy’s father.

Reeve of Veils is a thrilling telling of another’s perspective from prior events with a bone chilling ending.

Lord of Ravens (Inheritance Series #3) by Amelia Faulkner

*Trigger Warning: Child Abuse*

Laurence and Quentin are moving forward in their relationship; Laurence testing the sexual waters.

Things seem to be running as smooth as they can with these two when Quentin’s father used magic to track him down and approach him. He has two weeks to come home and fulfill his duties as Duke.

Laurence finds out how Quentin obtained his magic and struggles with knowing. All the while he finds out he too has magic and has to find an instructor in order to be able to fight Quentin’s dad.

Both must go through great journeys in order to move forward not only in their relationship but their growth as individuals.

Between Quentin’s dad’s threat, a last resort attempt to get Quentin home, Laurence finding the truth about Quentin’s past, and his new found magic this book is wild, crazy, full of emotions, and the best of the series so far.

Alonzo “Al” Green is a PI that has taken on the role of writing a wrong he didn’t realize he was making back in the day.

After they both stumble upon a dead body in the foyer of their apartment building Al takes it upon himself to do a little PI work into the murder. Colin finds himself far too interested and gets involved. What started as a simple murder turns out to be a whole huge plot for possible domination, death, and destruction.
