Happily Ever After Isn’t Easy by Jake C. Wallace

Gabe is a youth counselor who recently came out of the closet, ended a marriage of 18 years, and is ready to have the future he always wanted.

Brandt is a military veteran and substitute PE teacher at the local high school. He has one way of teaching the students; the military way. This causes conflict immediately between Gabe and Brandt.

The two spend more time together through school functions and coincidental meetings and realize there’s more to the other than their initial encounter.

When a catastrophic event occurs at the school and Brandt is hurt Gabe’s world comes crashing down and he must examine some hard truths.
